About the area
Eminence is on Boynton Place at the foot of Knox Mountain, in a quiet residential area north of downtown Kelowna.
Knox Mountain Park
Knox Mountain Park is the City's largest natural area park, with about 20 km of marked trails, lookouts over the lake and city, and about 1.4 km of lake shoreline. The Apex Trail climbs to panoramic viewpoints, and the easier Paul's Tomb Trail follows the lake to a quiet cove and picnic area. Vehicle access on Knox Mountain Drive is seasonal and can close in high fire risk, so check the City's park page before you drive up.
Shopping and recreation
Downtown Kelowna's shops and restaurants are a short drive away, and Orchard Park Shopping Centre on Highway 97 is the area's main mall. The City is planning a new Activity Centre at Glenmore Recreation Park, with construction scheduled for 2025 to 2027.
Schools
School catchments are set by School District 23, so check the catchment for a specific home with the district.
Getting around
Downtown is roughly a 5 to 10 minute drive. BC Transit routes serve the Glenmore area, including Route 6 between downtown and UBC Okanagan.
