Beaches and trails
Okanagan Lake Beach, nearly a kilometre of sand with swimming areas and rafts, is close by, and Skaha Beach is at the other end of town. The Kettle Valley Rail Trail runs along Okanagan Lake toward the Naramata Bench and its wineries.
Downtown and services
Downtown Penticton's Main Street has shops, restaurants and a seasonal Saturday farmers' market. Penticton Regional Hospital, with 24-hour emergency services, is on Carmi Avenue.

Public schools here are run by School District 67 (Okanagan Skaha), so check the catchment for a specific home with the district.
Getting around
BC Transit's Route 16 links Okanagan Lake, downtown and Skaha Lake. Penticton Regional Airport (YYF) is about 10 minutes' drive from downtown.
