Lake Country has only a handful of true condo buildings, so the choice is simpler than in Kelowna. It's close to the airport and UBC Okanagan, with three lakes nearby. Here are the buildings we'd point a buyer to, and why. Our picks are our opinion.

Lakestone and Okanagan Centre Condos
A master-planned lakeside community with trails, wineries and lake access.
Winfield Condos
Buildings near the Winfield shops, Wood Lake and the Okanagan Rail Trail. We haven't picked a standout building here yet. Ask our team about current options.
Oyama and Carr's Landing

- Yes. The District of Lake Country is on B.C.'s list of taxable areas for the Speculation and Vacancy Tax. Check the current list at gov.bc.ca.

- The provincial principal-residence requirement applies in Lake Country, so in general only your principal residence can be rented short-term. Check the strata bylaws and District rules too.
